Underwriting Manager - This individual will manage the day-to-day operations of the Underwriting Department including ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and customer service standards. Responsibilities include monitoring work conditions and production goals for the team and performing periodic quality reviews. Interact with insureds to assist in selling, retaining and servicing business. Underwrite new and renewal business of assigned limited territory in order to monitor, maintain and update all company underwriting guidelines, prcedures and service standards.
Qualifications and Experience: Ten years property/casualty insurance required with emphasis on commercial casualty insurance. College degree required, a degree in Risk Management or Insurance preferred. Must hold Property/Casualty agents license or be able obtain one within first six months in position. Excellent communication and organization skills, as well as knowledge of policy contract terms and conditions, classification, rating and analytical skills required. Insurance coursework (CPCU, RPLU) required.
Director, Treasury Services - This new position will be responsible for the oversight and management of MAG Mutual’s investment portfolio. This individual will manage, review and provide oversight of external investment advisor, investment managers, banking institutions and financial institutions. Other duties include daily accounting operations for cash managaement functions. This position will report to Marc Hammett, SVP, Finance and CFO.
Qualificiations, Experience Required: College degree with a major in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; ten plus years of experience in finance or treasury. Previous experience as a Director of Treasury Services or Assistant Treasurer. Knowledge of insurance company investment, strategies and statutory requirements; CFA, CPA, CCM or CTP designation preferred.
Accountant - This individual will act as an accounting liaison with three MAG Mutual subsidiaries: MMIA, MMFSI and SPU. Duties include assisting with financial statement schedules and budget schedules, revenue reporting and reconciliation, light A/P and A/R processing as well as bank and miscellaneious reconciliations. Accounting 4 year degree required with 0-2 years experience in an accounting position. Experience in an insurance agency or with Applied Agency Administration software a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
