A member of MAG Mutual’s Board of Directors since 1990, Dr. Roy Vandiver assumed the position of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer in 1999. A retired Neurological Surgeon, Dr. Vandiver held numerous positions at DeKalb Medical Center prior to joining MAG Mutual such as Chairman, Department of Surgery and Chief of Staff.
Dr. Vandiver was an elected delegate to the American Medical Association from 1999-2009. He is also a past president of the Medical Association of Georgia and the DeKalb Medical Society, and past president and chairman of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society. He holds memberships with numerous medical associations and societies including the Georgia Neurological Society, the Southern Neurological Society, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. During his career, Dr. Vandiver has received countless honors and awards for his leadership and community work.
